Larry Tipton: Entrepreneur at Heart
My mission is to create a dining experience that is fun and affordable for everyone, while providing good jobs and giving back to the communities that keep our businesses strong. Dining at my restaurants is like dining around your own kitchen table: no matter which location you visit, you’re always surrounded by great food and great people that will ultimately create great memories.
About Me
***************
My name is Larry Tipton and I am originally from Lancaster, Ohio. I have owned and operated several businesses throughout my career and currently own 10 Buffalo Wild Wings franchise locations in Ohio and Arizona, as well as LT Pizza Co., which is comprised of twelve Pizza Cottage locations and Lancaster’s local Pink Cricket restaurant. The overall mission of my restaurants is to create a fun and affordable dining experience while providing good jobs and giving back to the communities that keep our businesses strong.
Before Lancaster Wings Inc., I was a professional musician, playing guitar as the frontman in a three-generation bluegrass/country rock band – the Pleasant Mountain Boys. After winning a talent show in 1977, our band went on to tour, made several records, headlined with legendary country musicians and performed at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry.
In June 1988, after being bitten by the entrepreneurial bug through my work in the entertainment industry, I co-owned and operated Desert Rose in Lancaster. I also owned Tips Motor Car, Tips Car Wash and Tips Tanning Center before selling the operations and opening The Tavern at the Mill in 1992. In 1997, I sold The Tavern at the Mill and began my franchise ownership of Buffalo Wild Wings. In August 2010, I opened a franchise of Golden Corral Buffet and Grill in Lancaster with record-breaking opening sales. I later sold the restaurant in June 2011.
My wife MaryBeth and I reside in Delaware, Ohio. We have four children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
